EVERY WEDNESDAY beginning 4/28 l 3-7 PM

On the Roof of Midtown at Forest Acres
Each Wednesday (April 28 throughout the summer) you can liven up your larder with locally-grown foods and enhance your life with crafts produced right here in the Midlands. Mark your calendar for 3-7 PM every Wednesday to browse extraordinary products & excellent produce on the rooftop!

Baskin Robbins 31-Cent Night

Baskin Robbins on Forest Drive
Join your friends & neighbors at Baskin Robbins on Forest Drive for its fourth annual 31-Cent Scoop Night! Purchase a 2.5 oz. scoop of ice cream for 31 cents (limit 3 scoops per person) and help Baskin Robbins celebrate its $100,000 donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation from which our local firefighters can benefit.

CELEBRITY ICE CREAM SCOOPERS include: Columbia Fire Dept.Chief Aubrey Jenkins, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter, Forest Acres Police Chief Gene Sealy, WACH Fox-57 News Anchor Arielle Riposta, WLTX News Anchor Curtis Wilson, State Newspaper Reporter Otis Taylor, Richland NE HS Principal Ralph Schmidt, Crayton Middle School Principal Susan Childs.

All activities are free and include law enforcement and firefighter demonstrations, face painting, contests for prizes in basketball and soccer, karate demonstrations, obstacle course, dunk’n booth, poster contest with tickets and tour of Columbia Children’s Theatre and local merchant’s giving out coupons. One lucky child will win a day at the fire station.

On the Roof of Midtown at Forest Acres
Bring your lawn chairs and your family for a night of free live music under the stars! Rooftop Rhythms, the popular musical event of the Forest Acres Restaurant and Merchants’ Association (FARMA) and the City of Forest Acres, returns this spring with great bands and great food. The family-friendly event will feature two different bands and offer fare from local restaurants. Admission is free, and food and beverages will be available to purchase with cash.

Forest Acres Spring Fling

Trenholm Park 
Come out for an evening of free family fun in Forest Acres! The Forest Acres Neighborhood Association, the Richland County Recreation Commission, the City of Forest Acres & WXRY have teamed up to host a SPRING FLING at Trenholm Park. This FREE family event will feature something for everyone - games & activities, health screenings, safety seminars, entertainment & a community fair. Admission and all activities are FREE, although we do request a food donation for Harvest Hope Food Bank. The recreation league will be offering inexpensive food items ($3-5/person) for your convenience.

The Big Nosh, a Celebration of Everything Jewish 
Sunday, April 25, 2010 l 11 AM - 7 PM

Tree of Life Congregation - North Trenholm Road
The Big Nosh is the first annual event to celebrate "everything Jewish" including food, entertainment and education. There will be Jewish foods to nosh in or take out, musical performances, children's activities, raffles and prizes and much more. Make challah, bite a knish, blow a shofar and dance the hora!
