Richland One will hold a special rededication ceremony to celebrate the completion of the renovations/additions to A.C.FloraHigh School that were done through the district’s Schools for the 21st Century construction program. The program will conclude with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the new facility.

Richland's International Flavors on Decker

This free, one-day family-friendly festival will engage all your senses! This mini-festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm, rain or shine. Throughout the day there will be on-stage international cultural performances by vividly costumed ethnic dancers accompanied by traditional rhythmic melodies. At the International Food Court, you will enjoy sampling tantalizing tastes of exotic ethnic foods. International Exhibits will showcase the county’s multi-cultural backgrounds and their contributions that enrich the flavor of the County’s life. Authentic ethnic goods and packaged foods will be available for purchase from the corridor’s Ethnic Bazaar booths. Information on assistance and services will be available from various area Service Organization booths. Don't miss the parade down Decker Boulevard, beginning at 1735 Decker Blvd. parking lot at 9 am to the festival site, 2500 Decker Blvd. – Decker Mall.  A brief official Welcome Ceremony will be held at 1 pm honoring state and local government officials and county educational leaders. 

4th Annual Richland County Recycles Celebration & Recycling Event

The free recycling event will feature free food, carnival rides, games, live entertainment and lots of prizes. America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and to buy recycled products.  Residents can recycle old computers, Household electronic and home office equipment, mattresses, TVs, tires, scrap metal and cell phones - all for FREE! Household Hazardous waste items like paint, cleaning chemicals pesticides and other household chemicals will also be accepted for recycling (By appointment only).  “New This Year” Light bulb exchange program residents can exchange 4 regular household bulbs for 4 energy efficient Compact Fluorescent Bulbs. Harmony School's 5th Annual Oyster Roast & Silent Auction

Cut-A-Thon for Juvenile Diabetes

Salon will be hosting a cut-a-thon to support research and treatment for juvenile diabetes. All haircuts will be $25.00 and all proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Walk-ins are welcome and preferred, however, appointments will be made when requested. Boasting holiday hits like “Welcome to Christmas Wood,” “The Wind-Up Toy Ballet,” and crowd favorite “Let's Ruin Christmas,” this rockin’ contemporary adaptation follows Fritz and the Nutcracker through Christmas Wood. When trouble arises with the dastardly Mouse King, Fritz and Nutcracker must save the day!  ($8.00 for children and adults, general admission)
